Sir

      We recd the Board’s minutes of the 19th inst wth the inclosed draughts of Mr Stokoes agreement for winning Scremerston Colliery wch we shall get ingrossed & executed.

      We shall strictly observe & comply wth the Board’s order of this date & shall be ready to shew and inform Mr Harries & Mr Simpson the Mine Adventurers Agents all the insights & Information we can concerning the Mines that are to Lett, assoon as they come here, and withal shall take proper Care not to say anything that may discourage them from being adventurous. We are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
