To William Corbett Esqr.



Sir

      We are much obliged to you for the Intimation you have given us of the boards resolutions in rergard to the Security, & of your Intention to Speake to Mr Airey which is very kind - We’re Inclined to think a Member more properly a Security for us altho’ Mr Aireys is of equale dependance, & therefore we think of mak.g  application accordingly & hope we shall have Severall ready to Serve us such as will be very agreeable to the Board. Pray give us leave to desire you will Informe us when it is Expected that we give this Security as most of our friends are not Come into the Country, which will add to the many obligacions we are Under & be of great Use to Sir

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
