      Ravensworth Castle. June 9.  1741

To Lawyer Rudd



Sir

      One of Your [sic] Tennants whose name is Rowland Graham upon a part of the Derw[entwate]r Estate, near Balmbrough Castle has Occasion for about Forty foth[er]s of Stones for building a Limekilln for the use of his farm, which he says it would be a Convenience to gett at Balmbrough Castle. He has desir’d us to make Application to you Sir, for the Liberty which we now begg leave to doe, & hope you will be so Obliging as give us an order to the proper person there for the delivery of them. If any returne for this Civility can be made you Sir, from the Neighbouring Estate we will be glad of having  it in Our power to grant you the like favour. & are
