       Above you have an acc[oun]t shewing the Quantity of Lead which has been delivered to the Lead Wharf since the Pay. 

       Lead Refined now sells at £20 per Fodder

       Silver   now sells at 5s/9d per Ounce



       Including the Pig found by Mr Chris. Bell the Quantity of Lead sent from the Mill to the 30th Ult was 1947 pieces, and as 1502 pieces have been rec[eive]d there appears to be upon the road 445 pieces. 

       Your letter of the 2nd Inst inclosing Mr Wm. Temperley’s 2 weeks coal acc[oun]t and the operation for last month is come safe to hand, and we are glad to see that the Peats are now drying so very fast. Take care not to get them in too soon. We are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
