       Above you have a Sketch showing the manner in which I wd like to have the Wall built for preventing damage to your Close near the House and to leave the piece a waste [marked on the plan].  You will therefore lay down the Stones accordingly.

       The Bone Ashes are arrived and will I hope be sent by the Carriers this day.

       I shall be glad to have the Silver sent so as to be at Newcastle on Friday & I am etc

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
