Messrs Mulcaster 							Farnacres 21 April 1787.



We have rec[eive]d your Letter of the 18th & 20th Inst and desire you will agree immediately with Ann Brown at 3d per yard to lead to the Stable, but we desire that it may be clearly understood that she is not to lead any in wet weather. We are glad to see that you are beginning to get Ore from the Governor & Co.s Mines and that you have been enabled in consequence to forward the Rye for Nent Force level workmen. We have rec[eive]d 14 assays – the three last Cakes of Silver weighed 602 Ounces, 269 Ounces, and 159 Ounces. We are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
