We have yours of the 10th. now before us and desire that Jno. Robson Junr. may be taken as a Learner to Smelt & wd. not have you to engage wth. a Labourer till you see further and cannot think it proper to employ either Thos. Coats or Matt. Brown at any Time. I have spoken to a Gentleman abt. Frank Carr being admitted at the Infirmary. He seems to doubt his recovering very much. We [are] in hope you have got finely forward towards completing the works in hand when we left you. We are
