Mr Nicholas Ruddock

Dear Sir

We are much obliged by your favor of the 18th Inst which with Messrs Mulcasters Letters upon the same subject have been laid before Mr Williamson whose further Opinion and Directions we have got and have sent a Copy to Messrs Mulcaster who will of course apply to Mr Tweddell and you upon the occasion. What we have now to request of you is that no Time may be lost in doing what may be needful and that in the transacting of this busyness everything may be so ordered as that proper punishment may fall upon the offender. You will be so good as present our best respects to Mr Tweddell who we are certain will assist us as far as he properly can.

       We are in haste

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
