To Captain Middleton             			Ravensworth Castle     June 13th   1759



      We have rec’d directions from the board of Directors for Greenwich Hospital to contract with you for removing the Housing in Meldon Park to the place you have proposed, so that we would be glad to have an opportunity of doing it as soon as it is convenient to you.  Mr Boag will be in Northumberland the next Week, & will not return sooner than Fryday & he proposes calling upon you in his way home, in order that the whole may be then fixed.  If therefore you could be at home about Noon on Friday, he will then call upon you, in the mean time we are

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
