Sir

      We sent into the hands of Mr James Wood Deputy Treasurer for Greenwich Hospital a Bill drawn by Mr Jos. Airey & Co. for Two Thousand Five Hundred Pounds on Friday the 23rd day of February last, the recet. of wch should have been acknowledged by last Fridays Post, but not hearing from him either that day or yesterdays Post we are afraid of a miscarriage.  We desire you will therefore imediately on rec.t of this wait upon Messrs. Vere Glyn & Hallifax & know of them if the bill has been presented

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
