Sir 

      We have appointed the 28 day of March  Inst. For the Recet. of the Derwentwater  Rts. at Whittingham at the usual place and hope to see you there.

      Mr Ancrum has applied to us for a Cottage House for his hind to live in, the Next year to take ease of his young crop which we desire you will accomodate him with one    We are

PS   	We are glad the old Ten[an]ts and you have agreed

      If Saml. Ancrum should want Convenience for his Hind we desire he may also be accommodated.  



NB. we wrote the same day to Mr. Ancrum and acquainted him that we had wrote to Captain Romer abt. his having a Cottage for his hind to look after his Crop & that the Recet. was on the 28 March Inst

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
