To Mr Maule
Dear Sir
We received the favour of your long expected Letter, acknowledging the Receipt of our generall Accot. and papers relating it for the last Year and are much obliged to you for the repeated assurances you give us of your good offices to forward the Settling it. Pray as it is so near the End of the Year, would it not be as well to make out, this Year & the last together, I apprehend it would save Mr Hunter trouble, & be done as soon together as one of ‘em seperate, pray mention it to Mr Hunter & lett us know if he has any objection, & as soon as you can; be so good as Send us the new Method he proposes, to make up the Accot. in.
I have realy lost your last Letter or mislaid it, so that I can’t come at it, which is the reason why it has not been sooner answered. the Postage of Letters You mention shall be allowed you, but I must desire in Your next that You’l mention, what it was. Mr Boag & I are heartily concern’d for the sudden Death of Mr Clark, we wish you, your Family and all Friends good health, and with great Sincerity I am ,
