To Mr Maule Ravensworth Castle Decem. 14 1759
Dear Sir
I am really ashamed to have been so long in answering yours of the 13 th Ult. but by the inclosed you will see such steps as have been taken as seemed to us best to have the money paid Mr Grenier & the inquiry made as to his circumstances, & allowance in the most expeditious manner which I hope is done. It has given both Mr Boag & myself great concern at hearing nothing from Carlisle , & least there sh’d be any mistake Mr Simpson of Penrith (the Hospitals Courtkeeper in that part of the Country) has been wrote to, to make all the necessary Enquiry, & I doubt not I shall soon have an opportunity of giving you a full account. I begg my Compliments to Mr Savory & am for Mr Boag & self
Dear Sir Yours etc
