To John Ibbetson Esquire Farnacres 1st May 1778

Sir

The Act of Parliament for impowering the Commissioners and Governors of Greenwich Hospital to exchange certain Estates belonging to them in the Parishes of Alnwick, Embleton and Warkworth in the County of Northumberland, for Lands belonging to his Grace the Duke of Northumberland at Corbridge having had the Royal Assent, I would recommend that Articles of Agreement be immediately entered into between the Hospital and his Grace for carrying the proposed exchange into Execution & the Board will be pleased to give directions herein as soon as Convenience will admit of it. The Gentlemen agreed upon as Commissioners to settle this Exchange are of the best Character and well qualified being the same who are appointed to divide Corbridge Commons etc. and Fourstones Common.

      I am Sir Yours etc.

      N.W. Junior

P.S. I have seen the Reverend Mr Ellison who will soon write you on the Subject of his Letter lately read at the Board.
