       We have received you Letter of the 17th Inst and have this Day drawn upon you for £203.8.7 being Balance of Account as below made payable 40 days after Date. We are

PS  Be so good as make Mr Walton Junrs best respects to Mr Smeaton and acquaint him he is much obliged by his late favor and begs to inform him that he expects to be less engaged in about 14 days than he will be for some time after one Week following the 14 days, as he expects a call for London & must be prepared.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
