      Reced by last Sundays post the Security Bonds for the faithfull discharge of the Trust reposed in Mr Boag & my Self as Receivers for the Derwentwater Estate; and on Monday I waited upon Lord Ravensworth who Executed his as I did my own at the same time; and as the Board of Directors have Ordered them to be returned Immediately I have sent them all to Mr Boag this day who will I expect with this wait upon you & shew you that of Lord Ravensworth & my own Executed;  & I hope you will be so obliging as Execute yours before Mr George Boag & any other Person you think Proper.   I intended to have waited upon you myself but as Mr Boag has been 10 days from Home & my Attendance here necessary I hope you will Excuse me till I can have an opportunity of Acknowledging my Obligations  to you on this Occasion which I will always own with Gratitude. I am Sir

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
