Dear Sirs

      On examining the Account last settled for Lead I find there is a mistake.  The 28 May Ra Carr Esqr. had 14 pieces of Lead delivered him at £14-10 PFodder which comes to £14-11-8 1/2

In the Account last settled you only have it £14.1.8 ½ Balance due to Walton & Smeaton 10s

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
