Mr Johnson

      We have fixed Monday & Tuesday the 16th and 17th of October next for receiving the Derwentwater Rents at Hexham of which pray give particular notice & have as many of the Tenants as you can with us upon the Monday.  The Court at Newlands will be held on Tuesday the 17th with which Mr Stewart will acquaint you & send you the precept as usual.  You must take care of the Crop of Corn at Peacock House & I think it will be published to be sold.  Mr Bell to whom I have wrote will assist you therein.    I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
