To Mr Chris. Bell Rav. Castle Apr. 9 1759

Mr Bell

Tho we apprehend it was fixed that you should Enter upon the Colliery at Stublick at Mayday next at Eighteen Pounds for one year, we think proper to Repeat it to you least there should be any mistake Mr Downs will have liberty to Remove the Coales which are resting wrought at Mayday agreeable to his Lease, but we have wrote to him that the faces of the heap must be left so as not to Inconvenience us or our incoming Tenant. We have not mentioned your having taken the Colliery and it may probably be as well if it should not be named till you are in possession & better if it supposed we are to take the Colliery into our own hands at Mayday. When we speak of Mayday we mean the 12 day of May Next.

We are sorry to hear Mr Errington is likely to have some difficulty at Fourstones, Let us know how that Matter stands, & what has been the occasion of the misfortune. When anything of this kind happens you should acquaint us, We have not seen any of the Tenants of which you had lists as being in Arrears, pray put them in mind & hasten them down. Your brother Carr we spoke to and we think if you were togither [sic] we might recommend Something to make you friends, if you can be down on Thursday it may be proper on that occasn. Mr Boag has reced. Robson of Deanraws Rent.

      We are Yr Humble Servts.

      N Walton H Boag
