                                                                               Ravensworth Castle  July 20 1737

	Mr Boag and I have a Sum to pay Lord Peters and Lady Katherine Radcliffe for Interest etc due out of the Darwentwater Estate which I must Desire you will <transmit> for us.  The Sum due to Lord Peters is £1000 & to Lady Kath Radcliffe £100 for wch proper Receipts are to be taken: Coppys whereof you have Inclosed with Tenn Bills & Notes amounting to £1089  the Neet Sum to be paid ‘em they allowing us ½ per Cent for remittg the Same.  Mr Mannock Strickland is the person Impowered to Receive this Money at his Chambers in Lincons Inn who will procure his Lordships Recets for one years Interest on £20000 due Ladyday last £1000 & he will give a Recet for £100 Annually due at the Same time by Vertue of a Letter of Attorney Impowering him to doe so wch Letter of Attorney before you pay the £100 is to be approved of by Mr Hunter Auditr of the Hospitall & Signed by him.  Mr Hunter Lives at No 3 in Garden Court Middle Temple London.  You will observe that the Recets are to be for £1000 & £100 alltho’ the neet Sum you pay is only £990 & £99 the other £11we keep in our hands for remittance

	I begg you’ll acknowledge the Recet hereof with the Inclosed Bills by Returne of the Post

P.S.   Mr Strickland is to Shew & deliver up to you a proper Testimonial of Katherine Radcliffe Being alive at the time this Annuity became due wch Mr Hunter must also approve of & Signe
