Mr Scott

	The Clerk of the Peace for the County of Durham has stop’d all proceedings against you and the Tennants of Scremerston & I will take care to pay him what Charge has Accrued upon it, but as he injoyns me so I must you and the rest of the Tennants to get the Road imediately  repaird if it is not done already. The Sooner you do it the better and the more it will oblige

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
