Sr, I have before me yours of the 29th past wch requiring little answer soe the lesse to Inlarge upon this being cheifely to advise you that I have this day to pleasure a friend drawne upon you a bill for £12 payable 10 d[ays] after sight to Mr Surtis Swinborne or Order vallew of Madam Anne Swinburne wch pray lett bee complyed wthall I am MB

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
