Sir      Inclosed you will receive Messrs. Bell Cookson & Cos Bill on Castell Whately & Powell dated 15th instant at 40 Days date for £1248 . 9s . 10d to enable you to pay on the first May next the undermentioned Sums on the Delivery up of the late Sir Walter Blacketts Bond & Notes with Receipts signed by Sam[ue]l Rolleston Daniel Astle & Mary Carr.

    Inclosed you have their last Receipt which you will please to return me with the Bond & Notes.  I do not know who will be empowered by them to receive the Money

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
