Sirs I wrote to you the 15th inst. & enclosed you Eden & Co’s Bill on Castell & Co. for £200 on Acco[un]t of the Quarterly Payments on Sir John Trevelyan’s Acco[un]t since which on considering of the matter Sir John is of opinion that making any change in the payment of these Annuitants may not only be attended with some confusion but that it w[oul]d give you a good deal of trouble, on which acco[un]t he has determined to continue Mr. Hawkins Wall in the Payment of them provided it should be agreeable to him therefore should he call on you for the £200 please to pay it to him on Sir John Trevelyan’s Account, or the balance in case you should have made any payments on Sir John Trevelyan’s Acco[un]t I am etc J. E. B.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
