Sir	On looking over the Deeds belonging to the late Sir T Blackett I find Indentures of Fines & Exemplification of Recovery of Estates in the County of Durham, but none for the Estates in the County of Northumb[erlan]d, I have likewise Titles of Lease & Release etc of the Estates in the Counties of North[umberlan]d & Durham the Titles of which you have on the other sides.

	The late Mr Wilson some time ago examined all Sir Thos Blackett’s Deeds & Papers & made a Schedule of the same, at the end of which Schedule I find a Memorand[u]m  made

“That the Exemplification of Recovery for Northumb[erlan]d suffer[e]d & passed by Sir Thos Blackett are with him at Bretton, as presumed, the same having never been sent to Newcastle” which I have no doubt is the case                                             I am etc    J.E.B
