Sir

	I this day have sent you by Jno & Jas Jackson the London Carriers a Piece of fine Silver Containing One Thousand and Seventy two Ounces which I desire you will place to accot with Sir Thos Blackett Barot at the Markett price & advise me on the Receipt of it.  I yesterday drew a Bill on you for £300 at 20d date payable to the Order of Messrs Bell Carr & Co wch I have no doubt you will duly honor.  In your next please to advise me what was the price of fine Silver the undermentioned days.                         I am etc     J E Blackett

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
