Sir

Mr. Blackett received your Favor enclosing Bank Notes, Amount thirty- four Pounds, being in full for four Lasts of Rye engaged by you for the Poor of Hexham; three of which are already deliverd.   The Barley is not yet arrived; Mr. Blackett cannot at present say whether you can be supplied with any either by him or Mr. Pollard, nor what the Barley will cost at this Place.   I am &c T.C.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
