      Inclosed you will receive Eight Bills on London as below, amount Seven Thousand Four Hundred and Ninety Six Pounds 16/2 which I desire you will place to the Credit of Col Beaumont’s Account with you, and advise me on your receipt of the same. 

      I have this day drawn on you at Thirty Days payable to my order for £375-’-’ on Mr Beaumont’s Account which you will be pleased to honour & (acknowledge) etc.	J. E. B.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
