By Mr. Dickinsons of the 8 inst to Mr. Salkeld (w[hi]ch I recd this day) I find that if we do not get Carriers to bring of the Ore that your Workers will be idle for want of Bingstead room: and as theres no other method of getting a part of it immediatly brought f[ro]m the Grove so as to make you room then by giving the other 6d p[e]r Bing (that's making it 5s p[er] B. to this Mill) therefore must desire that you'll order Mr. Dickinson to acquaint the Carriers as they go past that they shall have 5s p[er] B. for what they carry the fore end of 4 <dys> or till they hear to the Contrary.  I desire you'll call here between 10 or 11 on Sunday, if convenient, if not shall meet you at Corbridge against 12  & am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
