When at Rookhope Mill yesterday I weighed two or three pokes of Langty head Ore that was then coming in, and they all wanted about a pound of Weight – therefor desire you'll give Orders to those that delivers that Ore to be more carefull as to the Weight they send for the future and that you would also order the Small of that Ore to be better dressed before they send it f[ro]m the Mine - the Ore we have got this Sum[m]er f[ro]m Slitt & Dawson's Groves are very well dressed, therefor desire if you should send any smal f[ro]m these Groves not so well washed that you'll give directions for the Clark at the Mill to be apprised of it that it may be kept separate there. I wish there was some General method taken at all the groves of adding two or three pound more Weight to a Poke when filled w[i]th Wet Ore.  & am yrs &c
