Sir                   

I desire you'll send me an exact Acco[un]t of the quantity of Ore deliv[ere]d f[ro]m your Mines last year (that is between 31st Dec'r 66 & 31st Dec'r 67) to the several Mills, for

Mr. Richmond who I saw yesterday says there's a difference between the Deliv[er]y & receipt at the Mills, w[hi]ch he ordered me to acquaint him by Sundays post where it lyes - so you'll please the Acco[un]t by the Bearer - I am also ordered to desire that you'll for the future send me a Total Acco[un]t of the Deliv[er]y of each y[ea]r betweeen the 31st & 31st Dec'r to the several Mills exacly as to quantity w[i]th what you send Mr. Richmond.

I beg you'll order those that looks after the Washing of the Ore that they take care to let none be sent to the Mill till it's well dressed, for what was sent last y[ea]r was far f[ro]m 

what it ought to have been. I saw some last week f[ro]m the Slit, or Dawson's Grove very well dress'd w[hi]ch I wish they may intend as a sample for the year. I am yrs &c I H Jr
