We have made a Trial of the Test Bottoms you Sent w[i]th our powerest Black Slags, and they only yeilded 2 cwt 0q 9lb Lead. I do not think we can get them f[ro]m the Bankfoot any lower then the price you can get them there for - Please to desire Mr. Reynaldson to forward the deals, Ironstones &c to the Mills they are for once they come to his hand, and acquaint him that there's a great quantity of Lead at the Bankfoot. I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
