D[ea]r Sir

Yours with Mr Pearts inclosure I rec[eive]d last night shall surely hasten Mr Smith & Mr Parke to send the Acco[un]ts you desire but I cannot see any cause why the Business should be turned out of its usual channel for the Ticketts of the rec[eip]ts at Blaydon being sent here which was always the method followed since I know anything of the Business

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
