I was sorry to see yesterday by the condition of the Bellows &c, that you pay'd so 

little attention to the most material part of your Office as that of Smelting, for I dersay you are sensible that Men cannot Work at a Hearth so much out of order (as she must have been by appearances) without great loss to the Master. Let me once more beg of you to act w[i]th spirit & resolution becoming the place you are in, as always having Sr Walters interest in view that I may have it in my power to say so much for you when ask'd w[hi]ch would give me great pleasure I desire you'll master those Wainmen that has of your Lead in their Hands to Blaydon w[i]th it as fast as possible & am
