Yesterday I recd your Tickett for Dukesf[iel]d & Allanh[ea]ds Lead w[i]thout Rookhope w[hi]ch I wish I had, for I cannot reckon w[i]th the wain men w[i]th any Certainty till I get it. I have both spook & wrote to Mr. Harrison about his Wainmen reckoning w[i]th you :- so hopes you have had the greater part of them before this or at le[a]st so many as to inable you to make up the Tickett. There's 4 p's of Lead hid among the Ling on the South East side of All[en]h[ea]ds Stob & I doubt not but the other 2 p's thats wanted is also among the Ling as the Wainmen used to hide it one f[ro]m another I wish you could get these 4 p's in this week   & am yrs &c

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
