I wish it may be convenient for you to let me have when I come down 250£ instead of the 200 that we talked of when here; for I have had so many applications for Carriers &c in distress that I doubt I shall not be able to divide the latter sum so as to relive them shall be at the Office on Wednesday Morn[in]g the 1st Nov'r or any other day that's more agreeable between this and the 8th (for thats Hexham Fair where the Smelters commonly buy their

I expect we shall send you in the course of the Week a pritty good Plate. & am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
