I have recd orders to make ready for a Pay w[i]th all expedition therefor desire that

you'll send me your Dec'r Quart'r Month & General Acco[un]ts as soon as possible  & am  Sr

P.S. If you have any of Welch's Wast[e] Work to smelt (as its now fresh Weather) you may get it smelted next week so as to be able to let me have your Acco[un]ts against the 23rd inst. w[hi]ch I would not choose to be longer of receiving

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
