I have sent as p[er] inclosed acco[un]t one Piece of Silver p[er] Ral. Little the Hexham carrier & shall send the General Acc[un]t of the Refinery for the Y[ea]r  68 once the Litharge Slags are wrought, w[hi]ch I expect will be don in 20 days time if the Frost does not hinder.

Mr. Sparke be gon yesterday w[i]th the Black Slags and f[ro]m the specimens he has already given I doubt his great knowlidge will consist more in word then actions.  I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
