One Mr. Hartgill calld at this Mill the other day when I was from home about buying the Old Slags so have wrote to him that if he'll wate upon you at the Office you'll sell him what quantity he pleases very reasonable the Slags he wants are some old heeps lying at the Corn Mill & small heeps by the Waterside w[hi]ch we distinguish by the 3 Slags (ie) what we have gone thrice through & if he will give anything above the expence of Weigh[in]g &c you cannot be wrong, for the Lead thats in them will not pay the expence of extracting.
