Sir

      I have Examined James Stewatts Accot. & find it just as I gave it you & there was as follows viz.



From Mart[inma]s  1734 being the time we Comenced Rec. to Mayday 1736 the  

   time we left it was one year & a halfe at £4 A year    £6

Deduct arrears <Jan.y> 19th 1735/6 as by <R.eceivers>      2

                                                  Remaine £4

                                        

He Stands in the Late Rec[eive]rs List of Arrears with us also £4 which is the £8  I think I gave you in & is Truth According to the best of my knowledge , & I hope youll give no Quarter fa tho truth seems not be as in him

	One Matt. Brown & Isaac Maxweld has had it since & has paid the Rent ever since Mayday 1736 to Mayday 1739   I am Sr in haste &c Yrs Sincerely
