To Mr John Everest. Ravensworth. Castle Novr 16 1759
Dear Sir
We sent some time ago a parcell of Printed Leases directed to the care of Mr Horne which he acquaints us were delivered to you. And as we have no doubt they are since stamp’d we send you inclosed instructions for filling up a part of them Among these instructions you will find some without the provisoe for dividing Commons which you will take care to Observe to the persons you Employ in filling them up, We have filled up a Lease with the provisoe for dividing Commons compleat and it will in no other respect differ from those where no Commons are to be divided but that of having the provisoe for that purpose. We have altered the Covenant for Grinding at the Lords Mill, by Erasing the word Manor and also the word in as it was necessary and right to be as it now stands, The words as they stood were thus [following is underlined up to ‘And’] At the Manor Mill called Dilston Mill in which the said premises lye, And they now stand thus [following is underlined up to ‘You’] At the Mill called Dilston Mill near which the said premises lye. You will therefore order the words Manor & in to be erased out of each skin when the same is filled up and put it as we have done, in the skin sent you herewith, Only you will alter the name of the Mill as the Case shall happen to be. We are
Dear Sir your most Humble. Servts
