Sir           I have received your Letter inclosing me a receipt for one hundred and forty pounds for Viner and Glovers half years int[e]r[es]t due from Sir W[alte]r Blackett the 27 Septem[be]r last, & have given you credit for the same in your account with me.

I shall insert the advertisement for the sale of Woodcroft and the farm at Fenwick in our newspapers tomorrow senight; it being too late to do it in tomorrow’s papers I am etc HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
