To Mr Darwin Grey’s Inn London Newca[stl]e 10th Febry 1769

Sir

I sent Sir Wr Blackett a Rental of Ord estate a post or two ago but inclosed is one to the same Effect and in the form you desire to have it. You will observe some little variation herein from That which I receive in your Letter of the 4th instt in respect of the quantity of Land in each farm. If I sent you That Rental I cannot tell where I got those quantities except from Mr Robson for he only could furnish me with them, & yet I see by his last Account he makes them as I have now given you them – however the difference is of no great consequence. The Rental I sent Sir Wr contained the Tithes of Lucker Shotton & a part of Ilderton but I suppose you don’t want them in the present case.

I sent Sr Wr a Case about some of the Suitors, to Hexham & Anick grange Courts that refuse to appear which very likely he will chuse to have the opinion of some eminent Council upon. I am etc HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
