	Sir Walter Blackett orders That Mr Robt Allgood be dismissed from his Service - he is pleased to permit him to stay till the 31st of Decemr next provided he behaves well & in that Case will also make him a Present - He also orders That Mr Lanct Allgood be taken into his Service directly so you will tell him to come down to Newcastle & call upon me as soon as he conveniently can.

	P.S.  You will let Mr Allgood have the inclosed Letter containing his dismission.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
