Gentlemen

	I am sorry to have had occasion to ask you so often without Effect for the Rent due from you to Sir Walter Blackett for Unthank Colliery and am sorry now to acquaint you that Sir Wr Blackett has ordered the Bond from you and Old Mr Readhead of Kidlandlee to be put in suit unless you pay the two years Rent immediately which were due the first of January last                                                                                        I am etc     HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
