To Mr John Bell at Hexham                                                                Newca[stle] 30th Octor 1767

Sir

I have fixed the pays in manner following – the Stewards will be here on sunday Evening the 8th of next month, receive all their money on Monday the 9th go to Weardale on the 10th make the pay there on Wednesday the 11th and at Allanheads on Thursday the 12th. So that what money you can spare will be very acceptable on Monday the 9th as will also your company on Tuesday to go to Weardale with me. I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
