	Sir Walter Blackett desires that you & Mr Richd Allgood will come down hither on Friday se’night the 3d Decemr - along with Mr Westgarth Forster &that in the mean time you will settle with him what day he is to take a view of Allenheads Mine & that you will give him every Information that he may want concerning the same - I desire you will send a special Messenger with the inclosed over to Coalcleugh as soon as you receive this & learn what day he appoints for the view                                                 I am etc          HR.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
