Dear Kitte

      Inclosd I send you a bill for 57: 15; 0 ½ which give me Cr[edit] for, I wrote you in my last the great sufferers were Mr Baine Mr Hen Camplishon Mr Wm Thomas & Mr Leo: Thomas My wife & I designes for Yorke next week & will stay there 8 or 10 days so by the first post let me know the names of the people in york that you shipd goods for & what sort of goods they were shall Informe my self as well as possibly I can w[ha]t Loss each of them might sustain

      I p[er]ceive there is not much Loss amongst your Chap[men] either at Ripon or Pately bridge only them that had suggar candy it was all lost I sent my servt to Yorke w[i]th the bill w[hi]ch Sr Wm Robinson paid very readily with my blessing to you I am

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
