Sir    I am desired to acquaint you That Mr Blackett has fixed the Pays to be made on the following Days     Yourself accompanyd by the rest of the Stewards to be here on Friday Evening the 2nd of January     receive your Money on Saturday the 3rd  _  go away on Sunday the 4th & make Dukesfeild Pay on Monday the 5th  _  Allanheads on Wednesday the 7th  Coalcleugh on Thursday the 8th & Newhouse Pay on Friday the 9th     You will please to let us have your Accounts as soon as possible as there will be Time little enough to examine them & as these Pays will amount to a Considerable Sum of Money you are desired to come well armed. The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
