Langley Mill

Returned to Langley Mill and met Mr Lee, who is to have a meeting with his partners in a few days, when he will call here and discharge the amount of the valuation of Stock at the Mill & their share of the Lease.  Examined all the works, and saw a fine Cake of Silver made. Came to Lightbirks to look at the Stable etc fitting up there, and proceeded to Corbridge.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
